How to Set Goals, Crush Them and Live a Better Life

The rationale was simple, successful people don’t succeed on their own.

Chris defines nonconformity as asking why, understanding motivations and forging a life around things we’re excited about.

On Community Building:

Reach people on shared ideals (psychographics), not demographics to deepen bond. Be relatable and bring struggling people together.

On Goals:

• Start with internal motivation
• Then add public accountability

 

Two HUGE keys to success are consistency and peristence

4 Ways to Manage Criticism:

1. Recognize the struggle around focusing on the one negative comment amidst many compliments.
2. Recognize that criticism is often a project of the giver. It might have nothing to do you with you.
3. Take the time to step away, then separate the point from the emotion. There might be truth to the criticism.
4.  Adopt a long-term focus. Critics are interested in battles; whereas, you want to win the war.
