So I’ve been a fan of Scott Monty since I entered the ‘social media realm.’ I think he’s done a tremendous job with Ford and I love their social efforts. I passively followed the Fiesta Movement, and I own a Ford F-150.
That said, Christopher Barger and the GM social team haven’t been slouches either. That’s why I was really excited when I was invited to participate in the Chevy Weekend Warriors program.
I’ll be driving a 2010 Chevy Silverado for the next month or so and blogging about my experiences. If you’re interested you can find most of the truck specific posts at Gotta Love Chevy Houston. Here’s my first post, “Ryan, Meet the Silverado.”
Here, I’ll likely spend more time evaluating the marketing initiatives behind the program.
In the interim, here’s some things you all might be interested in:
- You can register to win a Chevy Weekend Warrior sweepstakes for two. The package includes a roundtrip coach class airfare for two on Southwest airlines along with 4 days/3 nights at the WaterColor Inn & Resort in Florida, two spa treatments at the Inn Spa and dinner for two at the exclusive Fish Out of Water restaurant. Go to Gotta Love Chevy Houston for more details.
- You can also register to win a $500 American Express gift certificate to purchase a custom pair of cowboy boots of your choice by registering on the Houston Facebook Fan page.
- Finally, if you’re in the Houston area, you can visit any Houston Area Chevy Dealer and test drive any new Chevy Silverado and receive a complimentary $30 gift card to Academy.
The Chevy Warriors experience is being sponsored by local Houston-area Chevy dealers who provided chosen bloggers a 2010 Chevy Silverado to drive for a month, complete various missions, and blog about our experiences using the vehicle. The opinions posted here are 100% authentic. We are given gift cards that enable us to complete certain missions and showcase various features of the truck; however, I would never compromise my integrity in lieu of the truth. Cheers!
