I’ve been participating in the Chevy Weekend Warriors promotion for just over a week now. So far it’s been a blast, and it hasn’t disrupted my daily routine.
Here are three reasons I think it’s been successful so far:
1.) Diversity of Participants
Of the three Houston participants we have:
- A middle aged male with some young boys who like to go camping.
- A middle aged female who lives on a ranch with 5 kids.
- An under 30 male who lives in downtown Houston where parking garages are plentiful and trucks aren’t always convenient.
The bottom line is that there’s something for everyone here.
2.) Solid Incentives for Readers
A 4 day/3 night getaway, $500 custom cowboy boots, and $30 dollar gift card just for test driving a Silverado are all pretty solid incentives/prizes for those looking to engage and participate in the Silverado promotion. Typically, when you dangle a worthy carrot people will come.
People will come Ray, people will come.
3.) Substantial compensation
Driving a loaded out 2010 Chevy Silverado is really awesome, but writing posts, shooting videos, and spreading the word is time consuming. I’m certain that we’re all grateful for the opportunity, but our time is valuable.
The people in charge of the weekend warrior efforts have provided gift cards and perks that ensure participating in the missions and sharing information about the truck is worth our time. That respect goes a long way.
4.) A wealth of information
We each received program overview handbooks that answer a multitude of questions and provide ample direction for our participation in the promotion.
The guidelines and expectations are clearly outlined, as well as, information on how to use each of the platforms required, tips on how to spread the word effectively, additional information about the Silverado, etc.
